ARTAS™ Robotic Hair Transplantation

Most Advanced Technology in Hair Transplant Surgery

ARTAS Robotic Hair TransplantHair Restoration Centers are proud to offer the most advanced technology in hair transplant surgery: ARTAS® Robotic Assisted Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).

The ARTAS Robotic Hair Transplantation System uses a small, advanced device to extract randomly distributed follicular units containing one to four hairs. Unlike traditional methods, ARTAS Robotic Hair Transplantation eliminates the need for a visible donor strip or stitches. The tiny donor sites are virtually undetectable and heal much faster than traditional strip harvesting.

ARTAS Robotic Hair Transplantation combines computer assistance, image guidance, and doctor control for unparalleled precision. Its imaging technology maps follicular units on your scalp, evaluating and selecting the best grafts for your specific procedure. Your HRC surgeon, specially trained in the ARTAS Robotic Hair Transplantation, guides it throughout the entire FUE procedure to ensure optimal results.

During a single office visit, grafts are harvested and placed in the recipient areas. The procedure requires only local anesthesia to ensure patient comfort. Surgery typically lasts four to eight hours, depending on the number and placement of follicles.

Grafts are placed at the exact angle and pattern of your natural hair growth, creating a natural-looking result. With minimal downtime and faster healing, the ARTAS Robotic Hair Transplantation procedure offers a seamless way to restore a full, natural head of hair.

Why Choose ARTAS® Robotic Assisted FUE?

The ARTAS System offers:

  • Increased precision of harvesting grafts from the donor sites
  • Improved survival of grafts
  • Harvesting and placement of more follicular units in one session
  • Minimal downtime
  • No linear scar
  • No stitches at the donor sites
  • Effective hair restoration for both male pattern baldness and female pattern hair loss

The ARTAS® procedure is FDA-approved for individuals with light skin and dark hair. For optimal results, patients with light hair should dye it to a darker shade three days before their scheduled ARTAS® Robotic Assisted FUE procedure.

What to Expect After The ARTAS Procedure

After surgery, your surgeon will advise you to rest for a day or two. You may experience minor discomfort and swelling, and within three days, small, crusty scabs will form around the transplanted hair follicles. You can gently rub off these scabs once healing is complete.

Within a week of your ARTAS® Robotic Assisted FUE procedure, the donor region will substantially heal.

You may not notice new hair growth until the transplanted follicles can establish their own blood supply and complete a growth cycle, which lasts about three months. A noticeable improvement in hair growth takes about six months, with optimal results achieved in about a year.

The grafts placed using ARTAS Robotic-Assisted FUE will have a natural appearance in both hair quality and growth pattern, and the grafts placed with ARTAS assistance will continue to grow natural hair throughout your lifetime. You can grow your hair to any length and adopt any style with confidence.

Note: Not all patients qualify for the ARTAS® Robotic Assisted FUE, as with any hair transplant procedure.
