Dr. George Lefkovits is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He has extensive training and experience in performing hair restoration and plastic surgery procedures. Dr. Lefkovits attended Georgetown University School of Medicine and State University of New York Downstate Medical College for his degrees.
He completed an Internship in General Surgery at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, as well as a two-year residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, where he was chief resident. The depth of his education and the length of his experience have honed his aesthetic sense and enabled him to see beyond the fads that are marketed as the next big thing as a plastic surgeon.
Dr. George Lefkovits is a recognized leader in women’s and men’s hair and cosmetic surgery. His expertise in hair restoration and plastic surgery procedures for men and women have allowed him to be invited to give lectures across the globe and also have led him to be a guest plastic surgeon in the United Arab Emirates. He has been published in peer-reviewed plastic surgery literature, including the Annals of Plastic Surgery, and has given presentations at many national and international meetings, including the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons national meeting.
Dr. Lefkovits served as an assistant professor of plastic surgery at New York Medical College, and is part of the plastic surgery teaching program at the Lenox Hill Hospital. He is also a guiding plastic surgery councilor of medical students at Downstate Medical College.
Dr. Lefkovits puts his training and experience at the service of his patients, performing only procedures that he knows to be safe and effective and recommending only procedures that will help patients reach their cosmetic goals.
